JACK DE KEYZER

From concert halls to nightclubs, theatres to honky-tonks-award winning guitarist, singer and songwriter, Jack De Keyzer has performed his brand of rockin' blues throughout North America for the past 28 years. To-date De Keyzer has released four CD's Hard Working Man (Warner Music, 1991) Wild at Heart (Parfio Music, 1995), the award winning release, Down in the Groove (Blue Star, 1999) and his brand new release, 6 String Lover (Blue Star 2002). Down in the Groove won "Recording of the Year" at the Maple Blues Awards and received a 2000 Juno Award Nomination for "Best Blues Album." De Keyzer also has five videos which receive extensive play on Much Music and Country Music Television.
Jack has worked as a session guitarist with many international artists including Bo Diddley, Etta James, Otis Rush, King Biscuit Boy, Ronnie Hawkins, Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, Blue Rodeo, Robert Gordon, Bop Cats, and Rock Angels. Performing 170 plus dates a year, the Jack de Keyzer Band has performed at the Molson Amphitheatre as part of the BB King Blues Festival in Toronto. Jack has also performed for many corporate functions and has led the Wal-Mart Canada band for the past two years. Jack's band consists of award winning producer and bassist extraordinaire, Alec Fraser, high voltage drummer, Tony Ajo and occasional guest appearances by rising harmonica star, David Rotundo, International gigs include a week in Athens, Greece and a week in Puerto Escondido, Mexico. Jack De Keyzer and his high energy, popular live act are busy on the summer blues circuit this year.
